Update to the New Version of Girl Wars!
You’re running an old version of Girl Wars Online. Make sure your version of Girl Wars is the most recent one available from iTunes.
Download the new Girl Wars app by clicking here! The new Girl Wars is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, and requires firmware version 3.0 or later.
Cat Fighting on Girl Wars
The mall items are basically your equipment on the game. Without the right equipment, you’ll never be any good at cat fighting. If you want to succeed at Girl Wars, you need to study up on
Cat Fighting Basics where the equipment, Attitude and Style are all explained.
On Girl Wars, “dissing” is the equivalent of “death” on other games. A girl gets dissed when her health drops to zero, either through repeated attacks and slaps, or being dissed as a result of being on the Bad Girl List.
Totally the most frequent question I get asked. Such violent girls! So to explain in detail I’ve posted the fully skinny on how to diss, check
Girl Wars Dissing 101.
You could.... slapping is the only damage you can do to a girl once she’s in the safety of the Spa (unless you add her to the Bad Girl List). The problem with slapping is you still use a stamina point for every slap, but you only deal 1–5 damage points. Not worth the effort. Better to save your stamina for more attacks or to add her to the Bad Girl List.
The Bad Girl List (BGL) is kinda like a hit list. It’s a place where, for a fee, you can pay to have beyotchy girls dissed for you. The girl who is lucky enough to complete the diss gets to collect a cash bounty for her trouble, about 70% of the price you paid to add the beyotch to the list. Once a girl is added to the Bad Girl List, only other players at her level can try to collect the bounty. Keep in mind, the girl you put on the Bad Girl List will know that you put her there. More details on the BGL can be found on
Dissing 101.
You are limited to girls who are no more than 10 levels below your current level. (So a level 20 can’t put anyone below level 10 on the list.) But, you can add any girl above your level to the list, no matter what her level, as long as you can afford it!
The cost to put a girl on the BGL is 10x her income (ignoring any upkeep). So, if your income is $150,000, it costs $1,500,000 to put you on the BGL. But be aware, with the current version of Girl Wars, there is a glitch that make it where you see the cost to put someone on the BGL incorrectly calculated based upon your own income. You’ll still be charged 10x the other player’s income.
Well, unfortunately the only way to be removed is for you to eventually be dissed by someone who is your level and is attacking you from the Bad Girl List. The good news is that the diss (although annoying sometimes) doesn’t actually hurt, and you can always heal back up!
My Girl Wars Crew
Aside from having other girls to chat with, crew means the difference between winning and losing cat fights. For a full explanation on how crew and cat fighting work, read
Winning Cat Fights and Building Crew.
If you’re on the most recent version of Girl Wars, you can remove girls from your crew by going to their profile page and selecting the option to remove them from your crew. If you’re still running the old version of Girl Wars, you can’t delete crew.
Fashion Points and Free Items
Fashion Points are bonus points that are offered on Girl Wars and can be exchanged for upgrades to make gameplay easier. The Fashion Points can be exchanged for the following:
Exchange 10 Points = $10,000 x your current level (ie level 30 would be $300,000)
Exchange 20 Points = Receive 1 Sister (adds 1 virtual crew member to your crew)
Exchange 10 Points = Full Energy Refill (full energy means more events for quicker leveling)
Fashion Points can be earned free by downloading one of the Girl Wars “sister” applications. Check Redemption Codes and The Diva’s SWAG for a full list.
Fashion Points also can be purchased by downloading any of the pay Girl Wars Fashion Points Apps:
Girl Wars 10 Fashion Points — 99¢
Girl Wars 16 Fashion Points — 99¢
Girl Wars 25 Fashion Points — 99¢
In my opinion it’s best to spend them on money. The money The Diva offers you in exchange for fashion points is $100,000 times your current level. (So a level 20 is offered $200,000 in exchange for 20 Fashion Points.) This especially makes sense early in the game when you don’t have the cash for Must Haves and Accessories to properly defend yourself.
A Sister is basically a virtual crew member. In exchange for 20 Fashion Points, you can get 1 sister to add to your crew count. This probably isn’t the wisest way to spend Fashion Points since you can always add Girl War Friend Codes to get crew members at no cost.
It’s a codeword that can be redeemed like a coupon in the “Redeem by Coupon” area on your “Invite” tab to get a free Must Have.
How to Spot a Girl Wars Hacker
Lots of girls seem to think there’s a special redeem code to score you the Private Jet, but that’s just not true! Private Jets are available at The Mall once you hit level 50, and you’d better have some cash on hand. They’ll run you $25 million a piece.
That’s what we politely call a modified player (aka a hacker beyotch). Seriously, Private Jets aren’t available until level 50.
She had no Must Haves, no Accessories and no Vehicles and still beat you...Once again, we politely call these girls modified players (hackers).
Real Estate and Income
Income is earned by owning Real Estate. The more properties you own, the higher your income. Income is accrued on an hourly basis (or every 54 minutes if you’re chosen class was Princess).
Upkeep is the continuing cost of owning one of your Mall items after you buy it. Upkeep costs are deducted from your hourly income.
Some items (mostly for low levels) have no upkeep cost. So, once you buy the Red Heels, there is no upkeep cost for having them in your inventory. However, as you rack up levels you’ll notice the more powerful Mall items show an upkeep cost. For example, the Diamond Necklace has an upkeep cost of $5,000. So, for every Diamond Necklace in your inventory you will pay $5,000 per hour for the privilege of owning the Necklace. (If you own 1 you pay $5,000 per hour; if you own 250 you’ll pay $1,250,000 per hour.)
Cashflow is your Real Estate income minus your Mall item (weapon) upkeep costs. Cashflow is how much money you’ll receive every hour after you pay upkeep (or every 54 minutes if you’re a Princess). You can check your cashflow by going to Real Estate. Above the list of properties you’ll see your income, upkeep and cashflow breakdown.
No matter how high your upkeep (and how low your cashflow), your income does matter. Remember, to add you to the BGL it costs 10x your current income. So the more Real Estate you own, the more it will cost beyotches to put you on the BGL. Being expensive weeds out the obnoxious girls who add you to the BGL for giggles. If you want to try to increase your cashflow, make sure you sell back any Mall items with upkeep costs that you’re no longer using.
Resetting on Girl Wars
Resetting does exactly that, it resets your character back to level 1. When you reset, you have to pick a new name, and you have the option to change your class. Resetting also clears all your stats, and you lose your cash and equipment. Some of your free bonus Must Haves will still be with you after a reset, but rumor is some girls lose these too, so make your resetting decision carefully! One thing you won’t lose with a reset is your crew.
Rumor is that most girls don’t lose their cash or their mall items when they reset (including the higher level items). They are still visible when viewing your own profile, and you will use the higher level items when you attack. But, we also hear that other players don’t see those items in your inventory when viewing your profile. And the funny thing is that you don’t seem to get to use them as defense items if you get attacked.
Go to your profile. Beneath your stats and the pics of your Must Haves and Real Estate, at the very bottom of the page, there’s a gray “reset” button.
You can’t. Since your Friend Code is tied to the Unique Identifier Number (UIN) of your iPhone or iPod, your Friend Code is permanently assigned to that device and cannot be changed...even if you delete the app and reinstall, the Friend Code won’t change.
If you get a new iPod or iPhone, either because you got a spiffy new 3GS or because yours breaks, your Girl Wars account along with your friend code and all your crew stay with the old device. Girl Wars accounts cannot be transferred to new devices, so you will start fresh with a new account and new friend code.
Your Girl Wars account is tied to the Unique Identifier Number (UIN) of your device. If you’re really a go-getter and want to check your UIN, open iTunes, click on your device, summary tab and you will see a serial number. Click on the number (not the words Serial Numbers) ONCE and it will change to show your UIN.
General Girl Wars Questions
Comments are exchanged between individual players by posting a remark on a player’s profile. Although comments are not broadcast to the entire crew, anyone who looks at that player’s profile can see your comment (so don’t put things you want kept private on comments). Bulletins are mass messages broadcast to your entire crew. Typically, it’s considered good manners to keep bulletin posting to a minimum, and talk with your friends in comments.
I have to disagree, this game is tons of fun if you don’t take things too much to heart, and just enjoy it. But, if you really don’t want to play anymore, just delete the app from your device. There currently is no way to permanently delete the Girl Wars account, but you can’t play if you no longer have the app.
